Sony Wants You to Make a Statement

- With their latest line of Picture Frames Televisions. The idea of hiding an LCD within a picture frame is nothing new, but that isn’t what we have here today. What we have here is a modern design to create something fairly unique.

Made for viewing images, the press release says it would also be great for watching a blu-ray movie or playing a PS3 game (cross sell). Read more via Sony.

OM NOM NOM NOM

When I first saw this webpage and some of the creative photoshops (more like MSPaint edits) I didn’t think they were all too funny, but after looking at 15 of them I’ve started to laugh out loud, some of these things are so random and out there.. keep clicking on the pictures to see more.. hilarious stuff.

Here’s one I prepared earlier:

Holdens 60th Anniversary Commodores

Holden have released what appears to be three limited edition variations of existing models to celebrate the 60th anniversary since the release of their first car, the 48-215 (”FX”). I can confirm two of the models, which are based on the Commodore Omega and the Commodore SS-V. I couldn’t find any information on a third based on the Captiva.

YOU Can Stop Uwe Boll

Please sign this petition for a worthy cause, to save the memory of video games from being destroyed by horrible movie renditions. I quote from If It’s Movies:

Uwe Boll, one of the worst filmmakers in the world, has given the world an opportunity of a lifetime. Boll said he would retire from making movies if enough people signed this petition asking that he stop. So far, there are 18,000 signatures on the petition, and this is what Boll had to say in response:

“18,000 is not enough to convince me.” “One million. Now we have a new goal.”

I signed it, it’s interesting to refresh the list of signatures, at this rate it seems to be about one signature every three four seconds.. but a million? Click here to sign.

PSN DRM Destroyed for PSP

Well isn’t that something interesting and refreshing to wake up to - The DRM encyrption on the PSN released PSP games has been crushed. With the release of this tool (NPDecryptor) people who have purchased the software and are able to play it on the PSP running the application have the ability to remove the DRM, allowing the software to work on any PSP. Currently this only works on original PSP titles, not on the PSone games which are also available.

Some will say it’s a huge win for piracy on the PSP, while others are saying it’s going to prevent people from developing for the platform now. I say if the product’s good enough it should be able to sell even in the face of piracy. I guess the only legit use this could have is for people who own like 10 PSPs, which I’m sure if they did the licence on the software wouldn’t allow it to be installed on that many at once anyway.

You can download the program from DARKCOLD here, and read the uproar in the MaxConsole Forums here.

Younger Generation Confused by Old Money

I found this pretty funny dialogue which occured between a customer trying to use an American $2 bill (apparently something rarely used anymore?) and someone working at a fast food chain which involved the manager, then security being contacted. No point in me telling you, so just give it a read here or click more.

Hmmm, I wonder if something similar would happen with an Australian $5 coin?
