Google Calculator Fails

This is pretty interesting.. what do you get when you try to do the maths sum 399999999999999 - 399999999999998? Answer in this link or image below (in case they fix it).

I knew there was a reason I never used Googles Calculator (besides Winkey+R, calc being so much easier).

11 Weird and Wonderful Wedding Rings

It’s good to be different and unique, especially when it comes to something as symbolic and personal as a wedding ring. mental_floss has put together an interesting list of 11 unique examples. My favorite from the list is:

It would be cool to have a ring that you could play with. This sphere ring made by acanthusleaf is modeled on a historical pattern that has four rings hinged at different points.

Check out the list here.

10 Misleading Nintendo NES Box Arts

I know the expression “Nintendo NES” isn’t correct but it’s not easy fitting the whole Nintendo Entertainment System in the titles. Anyway I found this cool post over at Topless Robot about some NES covers which don’t make any sense and can certainly be misleading.

The game, according to the cover art: An explosion-fest maybe mixed with some sort of future football-type game. With bombs and explosions. Aces!

The game, in reality: A puzzle-y game with lots of explosions. Seriously, you just firebomb the shit out of those 8-bit levels.

You can read the whole list here.

Editorial: Don’t settle with your ISP, especially if they’re a big company!

Posted: September 19th, 2007 (1:03am) by Juzza

It’s been a while since I’ve done an editorial. I guess that’s because there hasn’t not been too much to write about. I’ve got a good topic for tonight though: Internet Providers. I had enough of ours, and started looking elsewhere. I’d always seen the ads for 24mbit ADSL2+, but the last time I’d checked my exchange hadn’t been enabled so I hadn’t bothered to keep myself up to date. The only other option which provided data usage was ADSL but I didn’t want to lose the speed. Not keeping up to date was a big mistake. We were paying $70 a month for 10GB of data usage (both upload and download), at speeds of 8mbit/second with Telstra Bigpond. Pretty fair speed but the data usage just wasn’t worth the price.
