I’m aware that lately my postings have been anything I’ve found interesting or disturbing enough to share without actually being my own creations, but it turns out sometimes between working and being a dad I do have time to write something. You’ll never know what situation could come up so it’s important to be prepared for the worst so I present:

Juz’s List of Things to Keep in the Car

1. Spare wheel - So many people I know don’t carry a spare. It doesn’t make sense because this is one of the most common causes of a disabled car, and you’ll be face palming thinking about it sitting in the garage because you never bothered to put it back in after your stereo install.

2. Fire Extinguisher and First Aid kit - I put the two of these together because they’re just as important as each other. Hypocritically enough I haven’t actually gotten around to buying them yet, but it is on the shortlist of upcoming car purchases. Won’t my face be red when my car’s a smouldering wreck burned to the ground?!

3. Disposable Camera - That granny in the gold Camry can do a lot of damage and it’s important to have a camera in case insurance gets involved… or in case of burnouts, whatever - unless of coarse your camera phone is half decent, then this is redundant.

I’ll start  by letting y’all know I’m over half way in my goal to surpass the original post count of old DARKCOLD. The target is 442 published (with 6 drafts that never made it *sob*). Currently I’ve got 235 published and 4 drafts waiting to be finished. Yes, it’s going to take a while!

Sorry for not making a  post today up until now, I’ve been a bit preoccupied with my car. It all started a couple of weeks ago. I was leaving work like I usually would, I turned the key and the alarm went off until I stopped trying. OK it must surely be the immobiliser, probably the key not making contact with the ignition base (or something like that - who knows how the thing works). I pulled it out and tried again. Nope, had to get the RACV man to tell me my problems with a flat battery. Damnit, it’s those two amps and possibly the age of the battery (or so it would have seemed). I sold one of the amps off (and I’m trying to sell the sub), and everything’s OK.
