I know I don’t usually make two posts in a row with video content, but I couldn’t help myself. I present some very disturbing clips I had lieing around on a DVD; from a collection of commercials to motorshow footage and rare footage of the Torana GTR-X Concept car in testing and development. First up is the hilarious commercials compilation, with more on ‘continue reading’.

It was about time I uploaded something to youtube. I present a video I was given on DVD a long time ago, which was originally given out to the press and embargo’d until the proper release. It’s a rare video of the development of the 2001+ Holden Monaro (aka GTO and VXR depending on where you live), as well as featuring footage of the development of the Holden Adventra

Look out for the Adventra with a VX front end, which I’ve never seen or heard of anywhere in my life except this video!

Could you imagine what would happen in the real world if all your physical and mental ailments could be solved by a piece of chicken? What would happen to modern medicine? All modern doctors would have to become nutritionists, or at least know how to use an oven. From Gauntlet to Castlevania, the most inane pieces of food are able to make you feel better. There’s gushing blood coming out of your arm from being attacked by a warrior or a skeleton, and somehow a piece of chicken heals it. Are we just supposed to assume they used the roasted chicken as a bandage?

I was actually surprised to find out that build 6801 of Windows 7 has the so called “Super Bar” hidden within. The first time the public got a glimse of the new toolbar was at PDC, in a later build than the one they gave out. To access it we need to trick the OS into thinking we’re authorized Microsoft employees with permission to access the hidden stuff, and this is done via a patch which I’ll mirror here for x86 and x64 but do check out the author Rafael’s site for the latest version first.

A lot has been said about the superbar so I won’t bother writing anything new except to say it’s damned awesome, especially how it shows the recently opened files in an application from the taskbar or windows menu, and logical grouping which makes sense.

I don’t understand what this website says and I don’t have time to translate it, but what I do know is that GTR World has some pictures of the Nissan 370Z out and about in what appears to be publicity photos from Nissan themselves (or not).

… but only if you don’t like insects. The Conservation Report has put together a list of insects which have incredible camoflage. I don’t know what’s going on with their references to evolution natural selection, regardless of their well accepted beliefs the article’s about insects you might easily miss.
