I’ve always been fascinated with how things are made, and that fascination grew while living at my parents house who had Foxtel (and thus the How-To channel) which featured a TV show by the name of How it’s Made. Since moving out of there and not having it aired for my convenience I havn’t seen anything similar in quite a while, until today. </lifestory>, here’s a cool video about how they make marbles.

That’s a damned lot of work for the big marbles but the result is worth it.

I’ve seen a lot of car conversions in my day, turning less expensive cars into entirely different cars (remember that guy who made his own SLR McLaren?). Well here’s another, this time found on eBay. The owner turned his Honda NSX into a Ferrari 360 Modena. Definitely interesting, since the engine remains the same unit from the NSX (so not as powerful as the 3.6L 300kw V8 from the Ferrari).

A luxury I think I can live without but still admire for it’s absurdness. That’s how I feel about the fish tank pictured below (from a list of 13 Aquariums put together by Home Interiors Zone).

It certainly looks cool but something has to be said about having animals living in your sink which their only purpose in life is to be something to look at while you wash your hands. Click here to read the full list.

Here’s a pretty cool game to see just how accurately you can judge angles by looking at them. Apparently I’m hopeless as you’ll see in the screenshot below! (though I did nail one 100%)

It’s good to be different and unique, especially when it comes to something as symbolic and personal as a wedding ring. mental_floss has put together an interesting list of 11 unique examples. My favorite from the list is:

It would be cool to have a ring that you could play with. This sphere ring made by acanthusleaf is modeled on a historical pattern that has four rings hinged at different points.
