All Leather Keyboard

We’ve already seen a keyboard for blondes, a mouse made into a mouse and a diamond encrusted mouse. Surely we’ve seen it all? How about a keyboard made of leather. I know you’re thinking “seen it”, but have you seen a keyboard with each individual key covered in cow?

At only $603USD this gorgeous keyboard would probably suck for gaming. Check it out here and here.

Fifty Strange Buildings of the World

Village of Joy has put together a great list feauturing fifty strange building from across the planet. The one below (Nakagin Capsule Tower) reminds me of some of the buildings that appeared later in the awesome classic game “Transport Tycoon”:

D’oh the website broke. You can try the link here, but it says their bandwidth quota has been exceeded. Might possibly work next month?

The Most Expensive Accidents in History

I bet we all know about some of these accidents (they’re all well publicised and known), but have you ever wondered how much money these accidents cost? Funnily enough wrecked exotics (A website that’s specialty is wrecked exotic sports cars) has put together an interesting list of the top ten most costly accidents in history. Here’s an interesting one I didn’t know about (and it’s only number 7 in terms of cost).

Here we have our first billion dollar accident (and we’re only #7 on the list). This B-2 stealth bomber crashed shortly after taking off from an air base in Guam on February 23, 2008. Investigators blamed distorted data in the flight control computers caused by moisture in the system. This resulted in the aircraft making a sudden nose-up move which made the B-2 stall and crash. This was 1 of only 21 ever built and was the most expensive aviation accident in history. Both pilots were able to eject to safety.

You can read the full list here, though number two and one are pretty easy to guess.

Precious Metals and Cars

Ah, ultra shiny cars. Something which never gets old. That’s why it’s a good thing that Global Motors brings us four great examples below:

(Here’s the links: Chrome SLR McLaren, Nissan GT-R in matte gold, Chrome Lambo LP640 and a Gold Plated 911).

Opulent Automotive Options

Car and Driver has created a list of the top 10 craziest car options. We’re not talking about the usual options like bluetooth or a disc stacker though. No, surely such “options” would be standard on cars like these. So what do they offer the person who has everything on their car? One of my favorites:

You might think that $12,100 for 1600 tiny lights in the headliner (a mere $7.56 per light) is over the top; but how would you know? We certainly can’t afford a Rolls-Royce Phantom, but if we could, this dramatic—and pointless—option’s box would be the first one we’d tick.

You can read the full list here. Most worth more than my entire car :(

Exotic Vodka

Posted: September 4th, 2007 (3:38am) by Juzza

Just when I though I’d seen it all I stumbled upon this interesting read about my socializing drink of choice, vodka - and its rare varieties

See that drink above? Wondering what that weird gold coloured stuff is? IT’S GOLD!

… What’s unique about this drink is that we can see 24-carat gold flakes floating in it. The Gold Flakes Supreme will be imported and marketed in the U.S. by the Shaw-Ross Importers. The beverage costs around $60 per 750ml bottle in selected outlets in the U.S.

I’m not sure I’d be too keen to drink a rare mineral like gold (that can’t be good for the body) but definately a great conversation piece.
