It was about time I uploaded something to youtube. I present a video I was given on DVD a long time ago, which was originally given out to the press and embargo’d until the proper release. It’s a rare video of the development of the 2001+ Holden Monaro (aka GTO and VXR depending on where you live), as well as featuring footage of the development of the Holden Adventra
Look out for the Adventra mule with a VX front end, which I’ve never seen or heard of anywhere in my life except this video!
I’ve seen a lot of car conversions in my day, turning less expensive cars into entirely different cars (remember that guy who made his own SLR McLaren?). Well here’s another, this time found on eBay. The owner turned his Honda NSX into a Ferrari 360 Modena. Definitely interesting, since the engine remains the same unit from the NSX (so not as powerful as the 3.6L 300kw V8 from the Ferrari).

There’s always been something interesting about life from under the sea, luckily artsonearth.com has put together a list of 25 crazy deep sea creatures; my favorites are the Japanese Spider Crab, Icefish and Vampire Squid. Here’s a bit about the Vampire Squid (Vampyroteuthis infernalis):
Literally means “vampire squid from hell,” is a small, deep-sea cirrate cephalopod found throughout the temperate and tropical oceans of the world. Unique retractile sensory filaments justify the Vampire Squid’s placement in its own order. It shares similarities with both squid and octopuses. As a phylogenetic relict it is the only known surviving member of its order.

… What’s unique about this drink is that we can see 24-carat gold flakes floating in it. The Gold Flakes Supreme will be imported and marketed in the U.S. by the Shaw-Ross Importers. The beverage costs around $60 per 750ml bottle in selected outlets in the U.S.
I’m not sure I’d be too keen to drink a rare mineral like gold (that can’t be good for the body) but definately a great conversation piece.

Three schools in the north Phoenix suburb of Cave Creek were on lockdown for about 45 minutes Wednesday morning after a student at Desert Arroyo Middle School reported seeing a person dressed as Batman run across campus, jump a fence and disappear into the desert, Scottsdale police Sgt. Mark Clark said.
