Have you ever wondered what that largest, most destructive nuclear weapon ever detonated was? That would be the Tsar Bomba (Russian Царь-бомба) developed by the Soviet Union during the Cold War. Thankfully this thing never went into service, it was only a demonstration of the capabilities of the Soviet Union. With a payload of up to 100 megatons of TNT (although in testing halved to reduce environmental disaster) who knows what the world could have been like had the Cold War not been so “cold”.
